Dr. Amanda Canty (formerly Rorvik) is a Naturopathic physician and herbalist with functional medicine training who sees patients of all ages and conditions, with a particular interest in families. Recognizing its historical roots in comprehensive care, Dr. Canty views family medicine as an art—an integration of science, bedside manner, personalized treatment, and the understanding that it involves trial and error, acknowledging that change is hard.

As a family physician, Dr. Canty strives to be the friendly local practitioner, becoming a cherished member of every patient’s family. She works within the full scope of her practice, using both conventional and alternative therapies to offer an integrative and unique approach to treating both acute and chronic conditions, as well as focusing on preventive medicine. She helps her patients establish healthy habits and routines that can be carried throughout their lives.

Dr. Canty is truly committed to Puget Sound Family Health. She served as the clinic’s first medical resident, working alongside Dr. Rife, and was often seen volunteering during her years of education. Dr. Canty is also a homeschool mom who values the family unit’s strength and cohesion, having had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the benefits of families sticking together.

In her personal life, Dr. Canty enjoys taking an adventurous approach with her husband and children, whether it be traveling, camping, exploring new worlds through reading books, trying new foods, or engaging in various activities that take them outside of their comfort zone. She values the importance of a balanced life and brings this perspective into her practice, helping her patients find joy and fulfillment by identifying their values, setting goals, and committing to meaningful actions.
