Medical Massage
Medical massage is a manual therapy directed at a specific issue or dysfunction of the soft tissue. Various massage techniques are used to release tension in the muscles and fascia and to eliminate spasm and nerve entrapment.
Muscle Energy Technique (Stretching)
Muscle Energy Technique (MET) is a form of manual therapy which uses a muscle’s own energy in the form of gentle isometric contractions to relax the muscles via autogenic or reciprocal inhibition and lengthen the muscle.
Soft Tissue Release
Myofascial release is useful for treating skeletal muscle immobility and pain by relaxing contracted muscles, improving blood, oxygen, and lymphatic circulation, and stimulating the stretch reflex in muscles.
Naturopathic Spinal Manipulation
Spinal manipulation can improve range of motion, decrease pain, and facilitate nerve release. It can be helpful for recovery from car accidents, improving posture, and re-aligning the body more quickly than other methods.
Ultrasound Treatments
We use ultrasound therapy to relieve pain and promote tissue healing in our patients. Depending on the cause of your chronic pain, ultrasound therapy may present a very effective treatment option to quickly relieve your pain.
Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation
Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation or NMES uses a device that sends electrical impulses to nerves. This input causes muscles to contract. The electrical stimulation can increase strength and range of motion, and offset the effects of disuse.
